Pentecost Sunday Service

Pentecost Sunday Service

When

05-19-2024
All Day

Services at 9 am, 11 am & 5 pm
Jesus’ victory over sin and death ushered in a new beginning, not only for individual believers but for the whole world. Ten days after Jesus ascended to power, the Holy Spirit descended to empower Jesus’ followers, who then began turning the whole world upside down (Acts 17:6). He is still doing so today, and we are part of this same global movement.

This Pentecost season, starting May 19, we hope to remind ourselves of our participation in the global movement of Jesus. Our liturgy will include Scriptures, prayers, and songs in different languages. We’ll sing new music, old songs in new ways, and we’ll hear brief updates from our Rez missionaries. Rev. Benjamin Abdelrahman (brief bio below) will share God’s Word with us on May 19th. God willing, we will fall more deeply in love with our Lord, his one holy catholic and apostolic church, and our mission to the world.

Pastor Ben, a DC local, graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland, and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Theology from Washington Bible College.
