Science & Faith: A Conversation | 05.31.12

Thanks to a grant from Scientists in Congregations,  Church of the Advent is co-hosting a series of events with the Trinity Forum that will be explore the powerful synergy between modern science and the Christian faith as we ask the question, “What does it mean to be human?”

The first event (event details and registration here) will happen May 31st at 7pm at the University Club, featuring a moderated conversation between Dr. Jennifer Wiseman, astronomer and Director of the Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Religion for the American Association for the Advancement of Science, as well as the Senior Project Scientist for the Hubble Space Telescope at NASA, and Dr. John Haught, Senior Fellow of Science & Religion at the Woodstock Theological Center of Georgetown University.  We will explore the topic, “What is our place in the Cosmos?”  This will be followed by a series of discussion dinners led by some of Advent’s very own scientists. Everyone is welcome to attend.
