One Apostolic Church

Scripture References: Acts 15:1-11

From Series: "One, Holy, Catholic & Apostolic: The Four Marks of the Church"

In 381 AD, Christian leaders gathered in Constantinople affirmed four marks of the church: one, holy, catholic and apostolic. Today, the overwhelming majority of Christians around the world agree and affirm these four marks in a common creed. These four marks were anticipated by the first ecumenical council of the church in Jerusalem, over 300 years prior to Constantinople, and described in Acts 15. Our identity and mission as a church flow out of the principles outlined in this chapter.
