Our People

Resurrection People

Everyone in the church is important, and everybody bears some responsibilities–showing up, giving time and money, participating in worship, helping with logistics, and so on. If you attend the church regularly, we need your help. Read more about how to get involved in the “Serve” section of our website.

Parish Councilpc2010_

The parish council is comprised of the clergy and seven laypersons elected by the members of the congregation. Together the council governs the church’s administrative affairs and seeks to broaden the base of leadership in the parish. The lay members also advise the clergy regarding the ministries of the church, and provide accountability and support to the clergy in their work. The lay members of our parish council are:

Randy Kenna, Rector’s Warden
Joannella Birdsall, People’s Warden
Greg Justice, Secretary
Bill Mahr, Treasurer
Elyse Anderson
Matt Luecke
Sam Logan

Officers

Several of the laypersons on the parish council bear specific responsibilities within the church. The rector’s warden, Randy Kenna, serves the rector as his advocate and advisor, and presides at meetings in the rector’s absence. The people’s warden, Joannella Birdsall, serves as a communication liaison between the parish council and the congregation. The secretary, Matt Luecke, keeps records of our by-laws, membership meetings, and parish council meetings. The treasurer, Bill Mahr, oversees the church’s financial resources by leading the stewardship committee.
